Pokémon X and Pokémon Y!

The Generation 6 games have been confirmed, and I am extremely, extremely excited. So excited that I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to make a coherent post about them, but let’s see.

These games look unbelievable. They’re the Pokémon games I’ve always wanted. Incredible battle graphics, 3D models (though part of me will miss the sprites), and did I see customizable player characters? Awesome! These games look like they’ll be quite different, and while the changes are a bit of a shock, it still has me feeling excited. I mean… just look at them! LOOK AT THEM!

The starters look pretty good this time around! At first glance, I thought Fennekin looked the best by far. Chespin looked kind of like a Grass-type version of Oshawott and Froakie looked a little derpy. The more I looked at them, though, the more I started to like them. I’m still leaning towards Fennekin, but I like Chespin and Froakie as well. Of course, I’ll wait until I see their evolutions before I make any decisions.

The legendaries look great too! They don’t look like they’ll be Dragon-types this time, which is good. There are way too many Dragon-type legendaries.

What I’m really hoping for, though, are some new Eeveelutions. Preferably a Ghost-type one. Please?

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m ridiculously excited for these games. I may not have a 3DS yet, but I have until October to get one!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to take my fangirling (shut up it’s a verb) elsewhere.
